Pre-Game Report: Eagles vs. Chiefs

The Surrey Eagles will play the fifth game of their six game exhibition campaign tonight when they host the Chilliwack Chiefs at the South Surrey Arena.

The Eagles are 2-1-1 so far in the pre-season while the Chiefs are 1-1-1 having beaten Merritt while losing and tying two games against Coquitlam.

Eagles Players To Watch:

Chris Tracy: The 20-year-old was released by Langley but has been given a second chance in Surrey. Tracy scored 15 goals for the Rivermen last season -- more than any returning Eagles player had last year.

Devon Toews: The second year defenseman, who has committed to Quinnipiac, has been turning heads throughout camp and in the exhibition season. Toews is looking to improve on a 29 point season on the blue line last year and could be one of the top defensemen in the BCHL this season.

Edward Dyson: The veteran goaltender enters his final season of junior hockey with only one BCHL game under his belt. The Port Alberni native spent the last two seasons playing for Dawson Creek of the NAHL but is expected to play a significant role between the pipes for the Eagles this season.

Puck drop: 7pm at the South Surrey Arena.
