Pre-Game Report: Game 4 - Eagles at Rivermen

The Surrey Eagles can move on to the Mainland Division Final with a victory over the Langley Rivermen on Tuesday night at the Langley Events Centre in Game 4 of the best-of-five series. Surrey won Game 3 by a score of 6-2.

The Birds got big offensive contributions from their top guns in Monday night's win. Adam Tambellini tallied a pair of goals in the third while Michael Stenerson finished with a goal and two assists and Brady Shaw had a goal and an assist as well. Surrey's power play units have been strong to this point in the series, scoring on over 27 per cent of their chances with the man advantage, and Michael Santaguida has been impressive between the pipes, allowing only three goals on 98 shots through the first three games.

After limiting Surrey to two goals in the first two games, the Rivermen had trouble defending the Eagles' potent attack in Game 3. With injuries to defencemen Logan Smith, Austen Bietenbeck and Mark Whiteley, Langley's blue line will count on major contributions from Viktor Dombrovskiy, Tanner Johnson and Aaron Dolby among others in order to force a deciding Game 5. Offensively, the top line of Mario Puskarich, Evan Campbell and James Robinson has combined for five points in the series while Dombrovskiy and Trevor Cope are the only other Langley players to record a point.
