Game 3 of the Mainland Division Semi-Final between the Surrey Eagles and Langley Rivermen goes on Monday night at the Langley Events Centre. The series is tied at 1-1 after the 'Men picked up a gutsy 1-0 victory in Surrey on Saturday evening.
Despite the fact they've only allowed one goal on 75 shots through the first two games of the series, the Eagles now find themselves in a best-of-three where they'll need to win at least one game away from home to advance. The Birds had a strong record at the LEC in the regular season, winning three of four games. Surrey has the only even strength goal in the series through 120 minutes of action while both teams have found the back of the net on the power play.
The Rivermen got the split they were looking for from the first two games in the series and now return home where they were very strong all season. Langley went an impressive 16-9-1-2 at the LEC this year. Monday's game will also mark the first home playoff date in Langley Rivermen history, and the home town faithful will be hoping that goaltender James Barr can duplicate his impressive shutout performance in Game 2.
