Surrey Eagles goalie Michael Santaguida has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25, the league announced Monday.
Sanataguida helped the Eagles to a pair of overtime road wins over the Prince George Spruce Kings and posted a .955 save percentage and 1.38 goals-against average in the process.
The Mississauga, Ont. native stopped 35 shots on Friday to earn 2nd Star in a 2-1 Eagles win and followed up with 29 saves in a 3-2 triumph. For the season, Santaguida now leads the BCHL with a .936 save percentage.
